Basics of gastronomy

The Gastro Challenge is a great way to relax between two presentations, after a seminar or before a dinner with the whole team. Fun is at the forefront of this event, while at the same time you learn some of the basics of gastronomy in a fun way. For example, you will learn which flavors are found in a wine, practice setting a table correctly according to table etiquette and learn to distinguish between herbs and spices.

Sensory experiences at three stations

The following sensory experiences await you and your team at the supervised posts:

• Wine aroma trail: can you use your nose to recognize the 25 different aromas that can be found in a wine? The variety of aromas will surprise you.
  
• Correct table setting according to table etiquette: How well do you know your way around lobster tongs and snail forks? You have the task of uncovering three different multi-course menus. You will learn lots of interesting facts about dining culture.
  
• Herb and spice trail: Can you recognize the herbs, spices and foods in the tins? Assign the correct name and correctly estimate the quantity of the different foods.
After the challenge, there will be an award ceremony. The team that has scored the most points will receive a nice little prize.
