Hanging eye-catchers
Kokedamas come from Japan and are also becoming a decorative trend in our part of the world. Translated, kokedama means "moss ball". These are houseplants whose root balls are wrapped in moss. These balls, which were once considered "poor man's bonsai" in Japan, are ideal as hanging eye-catchers in your home or office.
In the workshop, you and your team will learn how to make a kokedama. Under professional guidance, you will form a ball of potting soil in which the houseplant of your choice will be placed. Small plants that do not require too much water are particularly suitable. The ball of soil is then wrapped in moss and the whole thing is secured with strings.
At the location of your choice
Before you take your Kokedama home with you, you will learn from the course leader how to properly water and care for the moss ball. Thanks to the handout provided during the course, you will be able to make more kokedamas on your own.
The workshop takes place in one of the course locations in Zurich or Winterthur. On request, the instructor can also come to the location of your choice, be it your company or an external venue.
