Summer offer: Forge grill skewers
At a time-honoured inn between Berne and Solothurn, you can be introduced to the art of blacksmithing by a specialist. The blacksmith offers you a fascinating insight into this ancient craft. Afterwards you can try your hand at forging your own barbecue skewer (or horseshoe if you wish). The event takes place outside under the roof.
Barbecue and enjoy
When the work is done, you can inaugurate your skewer immediately. The coal is already glowing and the rich buffet is ready for you and your guests. You have the choice between the four- and five-star buffet. Both offers consist of a sumptuous selection of grills and side dishes. Enjoy the four-star buffet with farmer's sausage from pork and veal, marinated chicken breast, pork chops, vegetable skewers as well as fried potato slices and various salads and sauces. At the five-star buffet you can also enjoy beef entrecôtes and pork steaks. For dessert, you can look forward to delicacies such as crème brûlée, meringues, cream, ice-cream, sorbet and fine guetzli. Dedicate yourself to the feast, then the grill skewer can cool down before you take it home.
Winter offer: Forging fondue forks
Perfectly suited to the season, you forge your own fondue fork in winter and christen it during the subsequent fondue party. The well-known "Steingruben Fondue" tastes even better with your own fork. It is served with fine apple slices, bread and, if desired, potatoes. If you wish, you can enjoy a fine mulled wine during the forging.
Social programme for large groups
With the blacksmith's wife about 20 people can forge at the same time. For larger groups it is advisable to book additional activities. You have the choice of glass ball or wine glass blowing, baking brätzli or a chocolate workshop. So there is always something to do for everyone. Let us advise you personally.
