Distill your gin

This workshop is all about gin. At the gin distillery in Entlebuch, you will be guided step by step through the distillation process and distill a dry gin according to your personal recipe in in-house small copper bubbles. The production is not a secret, but an art! This art takes time. Once your chosen botanicals release their flavor into the alcohol, you can sit back, chat about gin with the experts and enjoy a gin and tonic or two. You'll learn about the entire exciting history of gin, from the 18th century to the present day, and discover the spirits distilled on site.

Your own recipe

The selection leaves nothing to be desired: you can create your own gin recipe from more than 25 botanicals. Do you prefer it spicy, mild, fruity or citrusy? The experts are on hand to help you choose, weigh and measure. On a 3-liter still, one to two people can make a gin according to their own recipe. After three hours and three gin tonics in the Edelwhite Gin Distillery, each person can take home 500 ml of gin. Your recipe will be kept on site so you can redistill your creation later if you wish.

In the gin manufactory

The workshop takes place in a gin distillery in Ebnet, a village in the Entlebuch. The building is unique: the distillery shares space with a brewery, which means that it is distilled and brewed under one roof. A truly inspiring place.
