The art of coffee preparation
Welcome to the coffee roastery! Here you will learn about the craft of baristas. The following areas of activity that are part of this profession can be combined into an individual workshop program:
- Theory: coffee cultivation and drying processes
- Sensory: How do coffees differ in taste?
- Adjusting the grinder for the perfect espresso
- The different methods of coffee preparation
- Foaming milk and latte art (drawing patterns)
Depending on the interest and knowledge level of the participants, the various topics will be covered more or less in depth.
Workshop procedure
The course starts with a short theoretical part about the cultivation of coffee and the origin of different coffees, followed by a tasting session where you can discover your favorite coffee. Then you will learn how to adjust the grinder to extract the perfect espresso. Finally, you'll venture into latte art: you'll add foamed milk to the espresso and learn how to draw great patterns with it to perfect your coffee enjoyment and that of your guests in the future.
